a zoo story

Last week after we got back from Wichita, the weather was so nice that we decided to get out and take Kate on her first trip to the Zoo. She absolutely loved seeing all the wildlife and especially enjoyed the aquarium. We didn't get the chance to see all the sights, so I'm sure we'll be back sometime soon.

Happy Easter

Kate had a wonderful first Easter. She had breakfast with her Grandma Bellinger, Aunt Kim, and Uncle Dan, then went to Church with them and Grandpa Altman and Uncle Moose, had lunch with Uncle Moose, and then, had Easter lunch with Aunt Kelly and Uncle Tim with an Easter egg crawl at Grandma and Grandpa Altman's house. What a day!!!

Kate's First Visit To Wichita

This weekend we drove to Wichita, Kansas to visit our family.  It was a great trip and Kate loved meeting everyone and twirling in her new tu-tu with her cousin Jazlynn.  The tu-tu's were a gift from their Aunts and Uncles.  We are very grateful for the gift and we got some great photos.  Thanks for the wonderful visit.  We hope to everyone again very soon.

7 months

Kate's now 7 months old and growing up fast.  She amazes us everyday with her new skills.  She's been eating solid foods for the past month and is now eating baby puffs and drinking juice and water from a sippy cup.  Her Great Grandparents came up to visit earlier this month.  Unfortuately the weather wasn't very nice but we had a great time.  See some of her new pics here:

Finally Some... Food

Kate is finally eating... food?  Well it doesn't really look, smell or even taste like food but it is at least a little more solid than formula.  At Kate's 6 month doctors appointment the doctor said Kate could start eating some rice cereal.  For the past couple days we've been practicing eating and so far so good.  This mornings feeding was the best yet.  Kate ate 3/4 of her cereal.  This week we get to introduce vegetables and then fruit.

Happy 1/2 Birthday Kate!

Today was Kate's 1/2 birthday or 6 month milestone.  We celebrated by tasting a little birthday cake.  At first it didn't look like she liked it but then discovered how squishy it felt between her fingers.

Outfit of Shame...

Look at what Kate came home wearing on Monday.  She goobered both her street clothes and back-up outfit and the CDC had to improvise.
