I was leaning towards the metal one also - until Dad pointed out the low corner. Dad said if he was 18 months old that's where he would make his escape.
We ended up going with the wooden one. The metal crib is a special order that could take up to 12 weeks. We don't have 12 weeks anymore. Down to about 10. :)
